This manual is published in terms of Section 51 of PAIA and Section 18 of the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
The purpose of this manual is to inform the public of the types of records held by AOLC (Pty) Ltd, the procedures to be followed when requesting access to such records, and the remedies available if a request is refused.

A request for access to a record held by AOLC must be made on the prescribed form (Form C) and submitted to the Information Officer. The form is available from the Information Regulator's website.

A request fee and access fee may be payable in accordance with the prescribed fee structure published by the Information Regulator. The Information Officer will notify you of any applicable fees before processing your request.
The Information Officer will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt. This period may be extended by a further 30 days if the request requires a search through a large number of records, or consultation with a third party is required.
Access to records may be refused on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of PAIA, including but not limited to:
If your request is refused, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za or apply to a court with appropriate jurisdiction for relief.
In terms of Section 18 of POPIA, AOLC processes personal information for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.
